Core System
Most of the distribution files that make up Krypton are published in
version-lockstep, and are released at the same time. These files
are released under the x17_krypton package in SourceForge.
The files that make up the core are:
- Krypton itself (x17_krypton)
- Documentation (x17_krypton_docs)
- Walkthrough Projekt (x17_krypton_walkthroughprojekt)
Skins
Skins are locked to a major.minor version number of the core system,
but have their own independent revision number. This means that you
can take any skin and use it with any distribution of the core
system that has the same major and minor version numbers. We test
all skins against previous releases to ensure compatibility.
Templates
The templates are maintained as part of another larger projekt, and
have their own independent version numbering system. To see which
versions of Krypton are compatible with which releases of the
templates component, refer to the following table:
